Asclepias viridis / Green Milkweed

You can never have too many varieties of Milkweed! Asclepias viridis grows to around 2ft tall and produces tiny upright flowers of green petals surrounding tiny purple hoods. Like other milkweeds its leaves are a main food source for Monarch butterflies, but the nectar is enjoyed by all. Easily grown in full sun, dry to medium soils, where it will spread by rhizomes underground without being invasive.
