This dwarf cultivar of sweetspire, often simply called 'Little Henry,' has gained popularity among gardeners and landscapers for its manageable size and remarkable ornamental qualities.
It typically reaches about 2 to 3 feet in height and spreads to about 2 to 4 feet, making it an ideal choice for small gardens, border fronts, and foundation plantings where space is limited. One of its most striking features is the long, arching racemes of fragrant, white flowers that appear in late spring to early summer.
In the fall, 'Little Henry' puts on another show when its green leaves transform into vibrant shades of red and orange. This shrub is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, including wet soils, making it a great option for rain gardens or areas where other plants might struggle.
