Pyrus communis / Pear - Bartlett

The classic European pear. Semi-dwarf rootstock, expect trees to top out around 20 feet. Plant with another European pear to achieve pollination and get fruit. We’ve noticed the skin of pear fruit is a little tougher and more likely to resist pests like the plum curculio. Pear trees like to grow upright with branches reaching for the sky, until they bear fruit when they start to spread out.
