Symphyotrichum oblongifolius / Aromatic Aster

Symphyotrichum oblongifolius / Aromatic Aster is native to Northeastern and central United States. This is a lower growing aster, from 1 to 3 feet tall, with a similar spread, making it suitable as a ground cover. Blue/purple blooms appear in August and September. Plant Aromatic Asters in full sun, in average, dry to medium soils. Tolerates poor soil and drought.
